Kolkata, July 7: Reinforcing its commitment to environmental conservation and a greener future, CISF Unit GRSEL Kolkata, in collaboration with Little Steps School, Metiabruz, organized a joint tree plantation drive on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at around 9:30 a.m. within the school premises.
During the programme, approximately 90 saplings of Mango and Mahua were planted jointly by CISF personnel and the students of Little Steps School. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness among young minds while contributing to the creation of a greener, healthier, and more sustainable environment.
The event was attended by the school’s senior management, including Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Mr. Trafton Mark Anthony, and Mr. G. Sonny, along with other school officials, teachers, and personnel from CISF Unit GRSEL Kolkata. Participants enthusiastically took part in the plantation drive, emphasizing the importance of protecting nature, maintaining ecological balance, and encouraging the younger generation to take responsibility for the environment.
Speaking on the occasion, the organizers highlighted that planting trees is only the first step, and their proper care and nurturing are equally important. They expressed their commitment to continuing such eco-friendly initiatives to inspire students and the community towards sustainable living.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to nurture the newly planted saplings and continue supporting initiatives that promote a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
